Clara’s Unique History

Clara Chorley is a humanitarian with a passion, a professional motivational speaker with a mission and an international business coach and entrepreneur. She is the Founder of Clarity Unlimited, and grew this business to over 6-figures in less than 14 months during the height of the recent recession. Clara has traveled and worked across 3 continents and 37 countries, and is committed to helping people move towards professional and personal life satisfaction by getting REAL.

What does Get R.E.A.L. mean? Clara believes that people need to go deep within their own personal selves and remember who they are and what they’re capable of; be willing to let go of rules and shoulds that they’re living by; and trust and act on the intuitive voice inside them. It is when we become ‘real’ that we can step up to affect personal, social and global change for the good – with friends, family, co-workers, the people we interact with on a day-to-day/week-to-week basis, and even people we may never meet. Clara is committed and dedicated to helping people develop this within themselves and her body of work was developed out of coaching and consulting experiences with diverse populations and organizations around the world.

As an international speaker, Clara shares her ideas on how to Get R.E.A.L. while living in our fast paced society where the expectations of others often take priority. She gets people to think about who they really are on the inside. Many people have forgotten this, as well as how to connect with others because the focus is on “getting things done” and being busy. Over-scheduled is the operative word for many individuals. Clara teaches people the importance of pausing, listening and choosing to live life in the present moment.  She offers practical ways of leveraging the ‘to-do’ list while maintaining a balanced life. Her life’s work is to inspire people to live life on their own terms; and move past the mental and emotional chains and rules that aren’t uniquely theirs – to have a life that is balanced, whole and successful according to their personal definition.

As a consultant, Clara’s international experience includes more than a decade running complex projects with aggressive deadlines, and consistently meeting those deadlines within budget. She has effectively focused on maintaining high quality work and low overhead. For over a decade, Clara has designed, implemented and improved operational processes within numerous businesses, dramatically improving efficiency and economics.  She developed the R.E.A.L. body of work out of her experiences around the world. Early on, Clara noticed that people who were living in some of the most challenging situations on earth seemed to live within the present moment. From genocide survivors to orphans to the poorest of the poor, Clara noticed that people banded together and even though difficulties were present, they had time to pause, to smile, to have a conversation. The “drunken dinner guest” mind chatter that many suffer from in this society seemed to be quieter.

At Ernst and Young, Clara was part of a team responsible for coaching partners and team members on leadership skills, and leadership team development, improving self-leadership skills and inter-dependence. Her experience here showed her that when people are honest with them selves and have the courage and skills to have tough, truthful conversations they become better team members; and therefore leaders, friends and partners. Self-understanding and trusting intuitive guidance causes people to contribute to those around them in meaningful and truthful ways. This is largely because she noticed that when people are living congruently with who they are – in other words, the woman or man showing up at work is the same person who shows up at home – and speaking what they are thinking and feeling, they are typically happier, more fulfilled and therefore have more to give.

For the Millennium Village Project in Rwanda, Africa, Clara headed operations for a $3 million project committed to the sustainable development of rural communities; encompassing a population of 50,000, over 40 person staff plus interns. She developed a weekly, monthly and annual strategic plan incorporating interventions for the education, agriculture, health, infrastructure, business, data management, and community mobilization sectors within each village. In Rwanda, Clara explored how decision-making is impacted by unusually high levels of stress. From this began the development of Get REAL – a four step proven process for clarity and ease of decision-making that, when combined with business development skills and tools, helps leaders accomplish so much more. Additionally, in our society we get caught up in the to-do’s of life, and our relationships take second place. Trusting that the work will still get done, in fact it will get done faster, more effectively and certainly more enjoyably, when relationships are smooth and communication is clear reflects a profound shift in our modern societal business standards.

In addition to being a successful entrepreneur and professional motivational speaker Clara Chorley has been a philanthropist and avid volunteer for over 15-years. She has a history of dedicated volunteer activity in areas such as Romania: Cernavoda, India: Calcutta and New Delhi, and USA: Hawaii and San Francisco. This work includes co-facilitating support groups for children and adults who were victims of domestic violence; providing physical therapy and teaching musical instruments to orphans; feeding and cleaning the women of Prem Dan (home of the sick); interviewing slum families; and working as a Crisis Worker providing phone and on-call emergency room support for victims of sexual abuse.

She is co-author of the book 15 Winning Ways to Better Living and is featured in the documentary film “Achieve your Ultimate Success”. Clara successfully completed London Guildhall University, one-year program in economics, statistics, and geographical methods. Her undergraduate degree is in Speech (Communications), she is a certified facilitator, member of the National Speakers Association, and trained in voice dialogue transformation work.

As one of the best internationally acclaimed professional motivational speakers, business coach and life coach, Clara generates passion in others because she is genuinely living her purpose. She has a unique ability to bring forth the talents and potential of other people while teaching them how to work within their own worlds. Using her way of connecting with others, Clara gets to the hearts of others and guides them to remember who they are, why they are here, and how to live their own unique life successfully and courageously. Her own experiences and struggles enable her to speak eloquently and profoundly about living and thriving in the present moment and trusting that intuitive voice no matter where you are on the planet.
